this is how I love you
where time does not exist
where spring is constant
where my heart is moved
by the sound of your breathing
by the sounds of a soft wind receding
this is how I love you
I will not diminish my feelings on this matter
I will not engage the imaginary prospect
that this place might ever cease to be
I will not count the hours
I will not agree with the vanishing clouds
with the leaves turning brown on the trees
I will not cease to ever be
here
for here is where we are meant to reside
here beneath the boughs
